Friendly Fill-Ins

  1. I wish less revealing swim suits would come back in style. I don't like to show a lot of my upper thigh area because of stretch marks from the constant back and forth of weight loss throughout my life... I like swim skirts or long short that go about 2 inches above my knee at the least. These days if it's not stuck up your ass it isn't HIGH FASHION. *rolls eyes*
  2. I always have EVERYTHING in my purse. I have to carry nitro for my heart, inhaler for my asthma, I always have pain pills and band aids, chapstick, key, 2 cell phones (one is back up) plus battery packs for the cells in case I need them, I have several note pads and pens in case I need them, I also carry hand sanitizer, my wallet with all cards in it, a change purse, and nail clippers.
  3. I think that I have come a long way since 2012. I have learned a lot, been through a lot, and grown a lot. I think it made me a better person.
  4. Inconsiderate people in public places is a pet peeve of mine. I can NOT stand when I am shopping and someone is standing in the middle of the aisle talking. Have the common decency to move out of others way.

  1. I agree, swimsuits are often too skimpy. There should be a variety of styles, just as there are a variety of bodies and personalities. Your purse sounds like mine! I am not sure what happened in 2012, but it seems to have made you stronger! I do not care for inconsiderate people in any scenario. Thanks for joining us, Martha! hugs.

    1. Thanks for stopping by. It isn't just swimsuits though... now that I think about it. Clothes are usually made for ONE body type everything else is a moomoo. LOL.

  2. The fact is, i know you have those parts, i don't need to see them as proof! That's what i want to tell people who won't put decent clothes on.

Those standing in the middle of an aisle blocking it are "taking their half out of the middle", and that's my pet peeve!

    1. I agree. I don't need to see everything you have. What ever happened to leave something to the imagination? Mom always said the less you reveal the more men will want to see. LOL. Thanks for stopping by!

  3. MonsterMartha, I'm not a beach person and I don't go to the pool in the summer, so swimwear isn't much of a concern but on the rarest of occasions that I need one then I just hope I have those few extra pounds off. When you're 5'2" carrying 5 or 10 pounds too much looks like I'm 30 pounds too heavy. Don't get me started on stretch marks. I have those all over from pregnancies and then battling to get back to pre-prego weight. It's not easy! But, when has losing weight EVER been easy? lol Our world is full of inconsiderate, mindless boob-heads and it's only going to get worse unless people have a change of heart. Have a good weekend!

    1. Cathy, I totally understand what you are saying. I am 5'0" and any pounds gained never sit right on me. My family has a history of short round women though lOL. Losing weight isn't easy and it's even harder after being pregnant. Have a good weekend and THANK YOU SO MUCH for stopping by.

  4. Visiting from Friendly Fill-ins! I like your #4... I had a teeny rant over phone etiquette.

    1. OH wow that's another one of mine too. People really have no etiquette when it comes to phones these days. We were able to survive just fine without them before it wouldn't kill some to put it down once in a while now. Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting.

  5. Great answers, thank you for participating. I haven't worn a bathing suit since my honeymoon in 1992, but if I ever lose enough weight to wear one, I will want a skirt on it too. Have a great weekend!

    1. Thank you for stopping by. The swimsuit ordeal is one of the most horrific times for me. You get judged so harshly for a stupid piece of clothing. Have a great weekend.

  6. I agree with you on all four of your fill-in's Martha! Swimsuit shopping can be so defeating. My purse has everything I need to hop on a plane and go somewhere! I once had a friend who even carried a change of clothes in her big purse, just in case she overnighted somewhere. :-) It sounds to me like you've come a long way too, I love survivors. I don't think you are Monster Martha at all, except maybe as a wrestling character, I love your description of yourself as a warrior... indeed you are, and an overcomer! Being polite and considerate in public seems to be a lost art, I get as frustrated as you do!

    1. Why do swimsuits have to be so small? I mean I understand that less clothes is good when in water but it doesn't have to be like a string. lol
I try to better myself every day and strive to learn everything I can. I don't let anything control or defeat me, been there done that... and I survived. I thank you for all the kind words. I really appreciate it. It's nice to know others see me sometimes the way I see myself.

      Thanks for visiting. XOXO
