Martha's 31 Days of Horror - Movie Review: Dear Mr. Gacy

I didn't go into DEAR MR. GACY with any expectations but I came out wow'ed by the sheer emotion of the movie.

Based on a TRUE STORY of Jason Moss who wrote The Last Victim, this movie takes you on a journey that few take. A young boy writing his college paper decides to write the serial killer John Wayne Gacy and see if he can get inside his mind. What transpires is shocking, horrific, and a journey you won't soon forget.

If you don't know who John Wayne Gacy is... where have you been? He is referred to as the KILLER CLOWN. He lured at least 33 young males into his home and killed them yet by day dressed up as a clown to perform at children's parties.

Jesse Moss (no relation) plays Jason Moss ... and the way he comes off is so very real that it haunts you. His obsession and devotion to doing this project sometimes overwhelms you as you watch this movie unfold.

William Forsythe plays Gacy and does a very good job of convincing you he IS John Wayne Gacy. I think the man should get some kind of acting award for his portrayal of the infamous serial killer.

William Forsythe as Gacy
The REAL John Wayne Gacy

In real life, Gacy spent 14 years on death row before he was executed by lethal injection at Stateville Correctional Center on May 10, 1994

Jason Moss committed suicide in 2006 ... the actual date being 6/6/06.

This movie is a MUST see if you are fascinated with serial killers and true crime stories. It is very well written and the actors are very believable.
